What you will be doing:

As a Financial Planning & Strategy Specialist, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to drive strategic financial planning, create impactful financial presentations, and deliver accurate projections. This role is integral to ensuring that our financial strategies align with business objectives, support decision-making, and foster strong investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Financial Planning:

    • Develop comprehensive financial plans and long-term forecasts in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

    • Analyze business performance and recommend strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

  2. Investor Relations & Fundraising:

    • Develop and deliver financial pitches and presentations for investors, showcasing the company’s growth potential and performance.

    • Support investor relations by preparing materials, addressing queries, and ensuring transparent communication.

    • Collaborate with senior management in strategic discussions for funding and partnerships.

    • Provide shareholders with regular updates on strategic and financial matters. 

What we hope to see in you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CA/CPA preferred).

  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategy (3+ years preferred).

  • Expertise in creating financial models, forecasts, and presentations.

  • Strong proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with investors.

  • Experience in investor relations or preparing fundraising materials is a strong advantage.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results.

KPIs:

  1. Financial Analysis & Reporting:

    • Prepare detailed financial analyses and variance reports for management and stakeholders.

  2. Provide insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities to guide decision-making.

  3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

    • Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with departmental heads to align budgets with business priorities.

  4. Create dynamic financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow.

  5. Investor Relations & Fundraising Support:

    • Develop and deliver financial pitches and presentations for investors, showcasing the company’s growth potential and performance.

    • Support investor relations by preparing materials, addressing queries, and ensuring transparent communication.

    • Collaborate with senior management in strategic discussions for funding and partnerships.

  6. Financial Presentations:

    • Create and present clear, compelling financial presentations for senior management, board meetings, and investor briefings.

    • Translate complex financial data into actionable insights tailored to diverse audiences.

  7. Performance Monitoring:

    • Track and evaluate financial performance metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

    • Identify areas of improvement and provide actionable insights to optimize financial outcomes.

  8. Market & Competitive Analysis:

    • Conduct research on market trends, competitive positioning, and industry benchmarks to inform financial strategies.

    • Stay updated on economic changes and regulatory requirements that impact financial planning.

  9. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business initiatives.

    • Support the Financial Controller in preparing materials for investors, auditors, and external partners.
